After laughing at a campaign that could last for almost a year, player Matthew McConnaughey has announced he will not be Texas’s next ambassador.
In a video posted to Instagram on Sunday, McConnaughey said that jumping into politics is “a way I do not choose not to act now,” and conveyed a message about the importance of service.
“As an ordinary child born in the small town of Uvalde, Texas, it never occurred to me that one day I would be elected as a political leader,” McConaughey said. “It’s a relaxing and inspiring way to meditate. That’s also the path I choose not to take right now.”
The Academy Award winner also added that she should instead use her “donations” to support a variety of businesses that help people succeed in life.
“I will continue to work and invest in entrepreneurship, business and foundations, organizations that I believe are making a difference in people’s lives, organizations that aim to serve and strengthen interdependence while promoting development,” he said.
Many of McConaughey’s messages focused on a higher level of service and leadership rather than real politics, and emphasized the need for the American people to come together in unity.
“Our politics needs a new goal,” McConaughey said. “We have areas that need healing. We need to rely heavily on our lives. We need to start reflecting on the principles we share, which go beyond the parties, that build bridges instead of burning them.”
McConaughey’s announcement not to run comes after a Dallas Morning News research has shown The voters who love him more than Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) are eight points and Democrat representative Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke with 22 points.
“Likewise, a A July poll by the University of Texas, Tyler, said 44 percent of Texans would vote McConaughey in an election compared to only 35 per cent of Abbott’s, while 54 per cent believe the government is in the wrong. Hollywood journalist (THR).
However, the election took place before McConaughey announced his party or political office. As no one but Howard Stern said earlier this year, public opinion on McConaughey changed dramatically when he revealed his political beliefs and beliefs, all of which he did not fully understand. “Once you run for office, you have to give an idea,” Stern said.
A few political positions that McConaughey cited were the worst to the right or left of the middle, supporting shells to deal with the coronavirus and criticizing a recent Texas law on abortion that would ban the practice in six weeks.
“I feel like a little kid in his adoption to me,” he said. “Also: six weeks. Six weeks? If you say that your abortion issue is on the table for consideration, six weeks would not really make sense of that.”
However, McConaughey found some points and caution earlier this month when he announced his move opposition vaccination control for children.
“I could not order the circumcision of minors. I still want to know more, “McConaughey he tells Andrew Ross Sorkin at New York Times DealBook summit when asked about roles.
McConaughey added that he and his wife were vaccinated without being ordered to do so.
“I have a vaccine. My wife has been vaccinated. I didn’t do it because someone told me I should – [I] decided to do it, ”he said. “Do I think there is any kind of fraud or conspiracy? No hell. We should all stop that story. There is no conspiracy theory on vaccination.”
