Two EPFL research teams teamed up to develop a machine learning program that could interact with the human brain and be used to control robots. The program modifies the robot’s behavior based on electrical signals from the brain. The hope is that by doing this, tetraplegic patients will be able to perform many daily activities on their own.

The MRV is SpaceLogistics’ next generation vehicle, which incorporates hand-paid payments developed and integrated by the US Naval Research Laboratory and provided by the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. In this Flight Robotic Arm System 1 test, the robot’s arm performs a gauntlet exercise, which moves the arm through a series of modes that run all seven levels of freedom.
