Torrevieja Arm Wrestling Association takes third in Spain Nationals

The Torrevieja Arm Wrestling Association has just finished third in the ninth round of the Spanish Championship held at Pedro Muñoz (Ciudad Real) last week. The team won all seven medals: five of them gold.

The victory puts the team in third place, behind teams from Madrid and Catalan.

Gold medals went to Álvaro Mateo, in 70 kilos with both arms; Dimitar Petrov, less than a hundred kilos, and with both arms, and Mihail Nikolaev, one of the more than a hundred masters with his right hand.

Copper medals were presented to Dimitar Petrov under 100 kilos, a team of experts, with his right hand; and Cornel Borsci, under ninety kilos, also with his right hand.

Fighting Arm Wrestling is a little-known sport in Spain that was recently established under the name “pulso”, which requires strength, speed, endurance and skill.
