Time to consider mandatory jabs in Europe, WHO official says

The director general of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Europe has urged countries on the Covid-affected continent to consider compulsory vaccination.

Robb Butler told Sky News Wednesday that it was “time to have the conversation from the individual and depending on the size of the population. It’s a healthy debate to have.“The WHO chief said,”responsibilities come from trust, including people“in the past.

In early November, the WHO warned that Europe was “on epicenter”On the Covid-19 epidemic, while earlier this week, health officials around the world said the continent was 60% more likely to die from Covid-19 in the world last week. The WHO believes that the risk of an epidemic in Europe could reach 2 million by March 2022, if the spread of the virus continues.

However, Anthony Costello, former director general of the WHO’s Department of Women, Children and Youth Health, advised governments to be more proactive in implementing vaccines out of fear.expelling many people who do not trust the government with the vaccine.“Instead of just ordering and shutting down, he encouraged alternatives such as wearing a mask and working from home.

Across Europe, only 57% of people own the Covid-19 vaccine, according to statistics provided by the Our World in Data page.

Last Friday, Austrian Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg announced that the vaccine would be legal for all residents to ban those eligible for treatment from February 1, 2022. Those who refuse to shoot can expect a hefty fine, according to media reports. However, no decision has been made regarding the exact age at which Austrians will need to be vaccinated. Austria is the first country in Europe to invite more people to Europe, with many other countries on the continent developing a standardized vaccine for private, medical and government workers at the forefront.

However, there are a few countries far away that have also mandated that the Covid-19 vaccine be their full citizenship. Indonesia took the initiative in February, and Micronesia and Turkmenistan followed suit in the summer.
