Nphet recommends new measures to Government amid health system pressure

The National Public Health Emergency Team (Nphet) has presented new ideas to the Government amid the recent Covid-19 epidemic.

As we have explained in The Irish Times, it is reported that Nphet has advised the Government that children under the age of nine should wear handkerchiefs in schools and other indoor areas.

Apparently, in a letter to Minster for Health Stephen Donnelly, Dr Tony Holohan said children’s home meetings should be avoided for the next two weeks.

These ideas are expected to include events such as Nativity plays, birthday parties, birthday parties and play days.

This comes as the government filed 4,764 new cases of HIV on Thursday. At 8am, 598 Covid patients were in the hospital, 126 of whom were in the ICU.

According to The Irish Times, Nphet also suggests that Covid’s popularity extends beyond the interior, such as gymnasiums, hairdressers, and personal works.

The Health Minister is expected to consider Nphet’s offer on Friday. However, it is understood that the Government will not make a decision on the extension until next week when some information on the status of Covid-19 is available.

On Thursday, major health concerns were expressed that many workers are out of work because of Covid.

The HSE said there were 5,106 employees who were not working because they had been tested for Covid or appeared to be neighbors.

Anne O’Connor’s chief operating officer says the figure does not include migrants, and the total number of absentees could reach 5,800.

HSE CEO Paul Reid said there was a “growing and growing” epidemic in the region.

The official said, however, that there had been a “strong response” to the public in the past 10 days.

“A lot of people, and obviously now, are moving home,” Reid added.

“Indeed, many people are planning to reduce their workload.

“I would like to acknowledge from the healthcare that we are grateful that so many people are very committed and very supportive right now.”

He said the sacrifices would be needed for a “permanent period”.
