Mark Wood eager to take advantage of opportunity in the Ashes

Mark Wood he wants to make the most of his opportunities in the future Save list and warned Australia will face a different football pitcher compared to six years ago.

The England Quick did not appear in the most recent battle in 2019 due to side issues as the ankle issue caused him to miss out on the team in the previous Down Under tour at the end of the tour.

Wood’s only Ashes appearance took place in the 2015 home run when he took 10 wickets but only made his test months months ago and it’s a different concept for batsmen now.

Having extended her race, the 31-year-old has scored about 25.5 in nine Tests and wants to “stick” to those in Baggy Green.

“As an Englishman, playing against Australia is one of the biggest things you can do,” Wood said in a BBC Project Ashes article.

“I played cricket with them and I did well. Great success as a team, some individual success so I want to test myself against them at the highest level.

“I was inexperienced and young, not according to age, but according to my Test career (in the 2015 series). I had just started, everything was new and I didn’t take everything and I would love to do more.

“I think I’m a different player than I was at the time, I’ve changed a bit and I’m very confident.

“Where from now on and from when I changed my competition, the St Lucia Test and the Johannesburg Test, to get five fers in the bag, I feel like I’m an English cricketer, to deal with ‘Baggy Green.’ Our Blues’ I like to include them. “

Wood is still alone along with the rest of the Ashes who took part in the Twenty20 World Cup in early November.
