London Tube Strike LIVE – Victoria, Central, Northern, Jubilee & Piccadilly lines down tomorrow sparking travel chaos

LONDON is hit by a major Tube threat tomorrow that will cross the capital into chaos.

Traffic killings are expected as five key lines are dropped for 24 hours from 4.30am on Friday morning.

Union officials in the past have confirmed that the lines of Victoria, Central, Northern, Jubilee and Piccadilly are all affected, RMT drivers are urged not to work tomorrow.

The TFL said the ban would make Tube work “small or not” in many parts of London, with all five lines operating at major stations within Britain’s largest city.

The night tube, which provides essential services overnight, was suspended due to the epidemic last year but is set to resume this week.

However, RMT claims that the amount of work is “disrupting” the lives of drivers, although TFL forces drivers to work only one night a year.

  • What is a night tube?

The night tube is a metro in London that runs through the night with days and lines.

Former mayor Boris Johnson’s son was repatriated one year after Rail, Maritime and Transport Union (RMT) clashed with TfL over salaries and conditions.

But the project started in 2016 and has just gradually started all five lines in question working all night for the people of London over the weekend as the London Overground has now started to join.

  • Can I pay a fee for drinking alcohol on Tube?

According to Transport for London (TfL) traffic conditions are prohibited from carrying open liquor containers and drinking alcohol on TfL operations.

Section 2.6 of the TfL Conditions of Carriage states: “On our buses, trains and trains, on our buses and trains and on the platforms, do not drink alcohol. [or] having an open bottle of beer. “

Notable perpetrators include Hackney North and Stoke Newington MP Diane Abbott, who was filmed in April 2019. move the £ 2 Marks & Spencer on a train in North London.

Sometimes, a drunk without shoes or pants was seen asleep standing on a London Tube.

Alcohol was banned on London Underground on June 1, 2008, one of Boris Johnson’s first words as mayor of London.

  • Check before you walk

The TFL has confirmed the confusion and advised people to ‘look before you walk’.

  • What should the riders do?

Riders should check before departure to see if the lines have been significantly affected.

Travelers should be able to use the Official TFL page to view it as a closure and a distraction.

  • Small work

As of Friday November 26, the Victoria, Central, Northern, Jubilee and Piccadilly lines all affected by RMT drivers are being told not to wait for their turn.

TfL has confirmed that the boycott could result in “small or no jobs”, and Waterloo and City line – which uses Central line drivers – could also be hit.

  • ‘Striking is not necessary’

Nick Dent, director of London Underground customer operations, added: “RMT’s plans are unimportant and threaten London’s recovery from the epidemic, although there is no job loss and flexibility and operational certainty for operators.

“While all other agencies have approved the changes and our staff have been pleased with the changes since August, we are ready to work with RMT and review the changes after the return of Night Tube operations.

“This review could be very effective if RMT agrees to meet with us to discuss and remove the requirements for all of us to see how these changes will work.

“If RMT refuses to deal with us and does unnecessary things, it is time to confuse our customers who want to enjoy London during the holidays, the people of London are advised to look before they go through the planning days.”

  • Are there any planned strikes?

Some activities are planned every weekend in preparation for Christmas on the lines between Victoria and Victoria.

There will also be another five-line suspension for 24 hours before the last Saturday before Christmas.

  • RMT image

RMT general secretary Mick Lynch said: “The boycott is a breach of popular and family-based commitments that contributed to the success of the first Night Tube.

“Instead, the company wants to reduce costs and put all drivers in a position where they can be fired rather than dominated by the authorities.

“We have tried to negotiate with ACAS directly since we settled the dispute but it is clear that the London Underground bosses are only supervised and have no interest in the lives of their co-workers or employees.

“The strike, along with its unfortunate consequences over the Christmas period, failed if the Tube supervisors did not destroy the Night Tube volunteers as well as possible arrangements to reduce the number of staff and money.

“We warned months ago that breaking into 200 Night Tube train stations could cause serious problems and LU should start addressing them soon.

“The agreement is still in place to discuss further issues so far.”

  • What does TFL say?

TfL states that the change is in line with other corporations and that drivers may have to work one night a year.

It also means that the resumption of Night Tube on the Victoria and Central line is delayed because drivers were ordered to stop working between 8.30pm on Saturday until 4.30am on Sunday.

TfL hopes that Night Tube will be able to run but has agreed that there may be fewer trains than expected.

  • Why did the night tube stop?

Night Tube was released in March 2020 for more trains to operate during the day to increase tensions over the escalation of the Covid epidemic.

  • Why does the night tube start again?

Thousands of people signed the petition after The Story of Sarah Everard theft, rape and murder by Met Metro Carnation police constable Met Wayne Couzens, for the night tube to resume.

Many want the tubes to come back to create a safe way to travel around London at night.

  • Why is the strike going on?

The ongoing controversy is a night changer in which drivers will have to work to re-launch Night Tube.

Since then the plague has been stopped, but it has to start again on Saturday for the first time.

RMT claims that the sheer number of pressures imposed on Tube drivers could ruin their working life and “keep working day and night”.

  • Which lines will be affected?

The lines of Victoria, Central, Northern, Jubilee and Piccadilly are all affected and RMT drivers are being told not to take their place since Friday morning.

TfL said the strike would result in “limited or no local jobs”, while the Waterloo and City line – which uses central drivers – could also be hit.

  • Thousands of people are in turmoil

The TUBE boycott is expected to spark a riot in central London from tomorrow as union bosses force a 24-hour strike.

Thousands of workers could be disrupted as “no work” is expected in five rows starting at 4.30am tomorrow.
