Johnson & Johnson booster slashed hospitalizations during omicron wave by 85 percent, South Africa study suggests

Research, which have not been reviewed by peers, looked at hospital admissions from mid-November to mid-December, when the country was hit by an omicron-induced disease, comparing health workers who were encouraged by people who had not been vaccinated. It was found that the stimulus was about 85 percent effective in preventing hospital admissions to covid-19, one or two months after the second dose.
