Insights and intersections: NI Ethnic Minorities’ and Migrants’ Relations – Free Event…

How do ecosystems connect with the minority and migrant population in Northern Ireland?

A special online event will take place this Friday that will bring together individuals, community groups, government agencies, policy makers and researchers to discuss migration strategies and minorities in Northern Ireland:

  • actively contribute to development and charity in your community and around the world on environmental issues;
  • doing good environmental practices in order to live a prosperous life, business and environmental justice;
  • sharing knowledge from those affected by natural disasters, including migration from global climate change; acquisition, participation and use within agriculture, especially in terms of how their relationships are affected by Brexit, environmental degradation, and land acquisition in cases where farms are often inherited.

Through these discussions, we hope that fertile soil will be based on future research and fertilization of ways to promote integrated systems, as well as with diverse people.

Speakers and listeners will be encouraged to identify key areas, research questions and relationships to address the differences in current research studies on the environment, which were identified in a recent project report, ‘Links to the Research Map on Migrant and Minority Ethnic Matters in Northern Ireland developed within the universities of Northern Ireland.

The event is being held by the MME Council in collaboration with Queen’s University Belfast as part of ESRC Celebration of Social Science 2021. The event will take place online on Friday 19 November 2021 from 2 pm-4.30pm. You can sign up podina apa.

QPol then ‘front door’ by participating in public policy at Queen’s University Belfast, assisting students and policy makers by sharing evidence-based and opinion-based research on major economic, social and economic challenges that people are facing locally, nationally and beyond.
