In Kazakhstan, peace has come after a bloody crackdown on peaceful protests on January 5 and 6 that sparked riots. Now that the threat of victims has reached 225 according to the latest statistics, two nations are meeting. Officials talk about the fight against terrorists while human rights activists have condemned the unjust imprisonment and corruption in government.

Ten days after the crackdown on protests began by rising electricity prices, tensions remain high in Kazakhstan. The population has risen to 225, according to a recent increase by Kazakh government officials, a dramatic increase in previous figures.

On the one hand, the government protects the type of “anti-terrorist” intervention, and on the other hand, people talk about serious oppression by government officials. As the protests intensified, security forces were ordered to shoot firearms. According to the state, the central police force was tortured 27 by suspected criminals.
