Trees for Life, a conservation organization based in Findhorn, has been pruning nearly two million trees since its inception in 1993. It is tasked with rehabilitating deforestation in the Scottish Highlands, providing land for wildlife to thrive and for communities to thrive. To launch the alliance earlier this year, six co-workers from Gordon & MacPhail visited the Trees for Life nursery and planted several oak trees.

Ewen Mackintosh, general manager, Gordon & MacPhail, said: ‘We chose to partner with Trees for Life because we believe our organizations are very close. We are all very focused on making future investments.

‘Just as the gold monument is represented by gold, the 80th is traditionally remembered by the oak, so the theme and the alliance were inherently perfect. Our whiskeys are usually for decades, if not generations, in production and Trees for Life is also preparing for a long time so we are very proud to support their work. ‘

Steve Micklewright, CEO, Trees for Life, added: “Partnerships and generous donations will have a positive impact on our nursery in Dundreggan. . ‘
