EU set to limit vaccine certificate to nine months

The European Commission intends to extend the EU covid certificate by next summer, as well as new conditions for the promotion and shooting for the third time.

“After nine months, the vaccination certificate is no longer known if interest has not been paid,” EU judge Didier Reynders announced Thursday (25 November).

Apart from vaccination, the certificate also shows the results of the test and recovery.

Reynders described the modified rules as a “personalized approach” that could rely on a “color map” that shows the affected areas.

This means that those who have a valid certificate will no longer need to be issued if they come from a red zone within the EU.

The new administration will take effect on January 10 next year, with the approval of the Council of Representatives.

Although the risk of complete immunization is reduced after six months, EU countries are being given an additional three months to provide incentives to prevent turmoil on the journey.

“We allow a three-month set-up period of six months,” Reynders said.

But the announcement also comes within the framework of various laws announced in other EU countries.

France as of January 15 will not recognize senior citizens’ certificates when a motivating shot has not been issued in the last seven months.

Yet the inspiring shooting has been taking place slowly in neighboring Belgium, which is causing problems for those who want to enter France untested.

So far, other member states such as Hungary have used the Russian and Chinese vaccines that have not been approved by the European Medicines Agency.

To date, Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca are the only jabs approved in the EU.

It means that those with different vaccines will not be able to get a vaccine certificate under the changed rules.

The new rules also mean that children under the age of six do not have any travel limits.

Children between the ages of 6 and 12 are also not allowed unless they come from a high-risk area, then they may need an EU certificate or test results.

Everyone will be considered an adult.

Uncertified people will still be allowed to travel within the EU but may need to try before or after arrival.

Going to the EU

Reynder’s announcement was also followed by additional rules, starting in March, for people wishing to travel to the EU.

“We are deviating from the standard set by this country for personal use,” said Ylva Johansson, EU chief of staff.

The EU is currently using a list of countries to determine what needs to be included in Covid.

This will be replaced by “individual cases in which you need to be vaccinated.”

“For children under the age of 18, they can always come with a PCR test. This is a new rule from the first day of March,” he added.

People with EU-approved vaccines can enter without any problems.

Others, who have a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization, will still need another PRC test.

All vaccinated travelers should receive the full vaccine in the last nine months or receive an additional dose.
