Embiid: 'No urgency to change' surging Sixers

PHILADELPHIA – After the beating Boston Celtics to win ninth in 11 games Friday night, 76ers superstar Joel Embiid he said “there is no urgency to change anything” with his team with just four weeks to go until the NBA trade deadline.

“I feel good, sir,” said Embiid, finishing with 25 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists in Philadelphia well. 111-99 the victory of his former enemies here at the Wells Fargo Center.

“If I look at where we are when we got most of the teams on the line, especially me on the line, then we are 21 and 9. This is not a bad thing. This is up there with the best records in the NBA. what we have been doing.

“I’m feeling really good, and I don’t think we’ve ever played our best basketball yet. We still have a long way to go. We need guys here and there who can really help us. There’s no rush to change. Anything. happy. “

The 76ers played all season with the All-Star guard Ben Simmons stay out, when his ongoing commercial needs are not being met. However, with Embiid sitting on the court, Philadelphia won 70% of his games and outscored his opponents by 6.9 points out of every 100.

The potential for Simmons sales – as well as the potential for Philadelphia in return – has been with the 76ers all season, however, since Simmons refused to announce the start of a training camp in September.

But Embiid said he believes the Sixers are good enough to win the players they have right now – though he acknowledged that it would be necessary for the 76ers to play the best basketball.

“I think so,” he said. “I think we should all, we should all be successful. And when we get better, I think we can beat everyone. We’ve seen it several times this year. So, I just think we need to do it. . [Harris] or Tyrese [Maxey] or Seth [Curry] or Danny [Green], the boys coming out of the bench, taking a Shake [Milton] back [healthy].

“We want consistency, and everyone should come every night with the intention of just doing their job and getting in hard and defensively and playing together and it will be fine.”

Philadelphia (24-17) were the best against Boston (21-22) on Friday night, jumping on the Celtics with a 28-2 run in the first half and not looking back.

For Boston, it was the fastest fall in the world after short live events during a three-game winning streak. But it is Marcus Smart for health and safety, the Celtics did not get anything out of it, Dennis Schroder, who missed all six shots in which he took 25 minutes and was called off for 1 offense in pushing forward 76ers. Matisse Thybulle behind the dunk attempt.

Thybulle landed very hard on his back, and while he remained in the game, he later left with a pain in his right shoulder. Before he left, he stole five and two blocks from the 76ers team that made 20 turnsovers and scored 31 points on them.

“This was a difficult night,” said the Celtics player Jayson Tatum, who finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists but set field goals (7-for-17) as converts (7). “I don’t think we had a night like this where … obviously, we had another night when we started slowly, but most of the time, we give ourselves a chance.

“For whatever reason, it was one of those nights that we just started slowly and never did [recovered]. “

For Philadelphia, it was a refreshing shift from Wednesday’s loss here Charlotte Hornets, a defeat that saw the 76ers win seven races. Embiid said Charlotte’s football career gave the Sixers a hard time, while Boston’s serious misconduct was easy to defend.

“When you compare, you know, tonight from another night, it’s easier to guard,” Embiid said. “Charlotte, they move the ball very well. They have shooters everywhere, and they shoot. Obviously, Boston is a very heavy team. So it’s easy to carry. I’m trying to stop them.”
