DC, Maryland Report Spike in COVID-19 Deaths

Washington, DC, and Maryland each show the highest death toll from COVID-19, according to NBC News data.

An increased risk of death comes later weeks is increasing for hospitals which has disrupted local hospitals.

DC also said another 10 people from COVID-19 on Thursday, the third highest number of deaths one day a year. It has a very high mortality rate because the vaccine is available free of charge to anyone who wants it.
