Ukraine’s president has criticized Russia for plotting to overthrow the government next week.

Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that he was aware that Russia was involved in a series of terrorist attacks on December 1 or December 2, Reuters added.

He told a news conference, according to Reuters: “We have a crisis not only from the Russian Federation but also a possible uprising – we have serious internal problems. I received information that the coup will take place in our country on December 1-2 on December 2, 2017.. “

The warning comes as Russia launches a military strike on its border with Ukraine, sparking fears that it is preparing for an uprising.

The US has warned allies that Russia could plan to invade Ukraine in the next few months and could send about 100,000 troops to Ukraine, Bloomberg reported again this week.

Experts also told Insider’s Ryan Pickrell that the Russian invasion of Ukraine is “quite possible.”

Ukraine’s Defense Ministry warned this week that Russia is increasing its “ready for war” in Ukraine.

Director of the Ukrainian intelligence agency told Military Times last week that Russia already has about 100,000 troops on the border.
