Bulls star guard LaVine to have MRI on left knee

CHICAGO – Cattle Guard Zach LaVine came out on Friday 138-96 loss on the Golden State Warriors team in the first stage with an injury to the left knee and did not return.

LaVine did not travel with the team to Boston because of his rivalry with the Celtics on Saturday night, and will instead remain in Chicago for an MRI. There is initial hope that he was not seriously injured, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

LaVine seemed to be starting to struggle after grabbing another nine minutes left in the first quarter. In the next game, he deliberately did something bad against the Warriors’ guards Stephen Curry before getting out of the game.

He immediately walked to the Bulls’ locker room with the team coach, but LaVine was able to walk under his control.

“An MRI will tell you more when he finishes,” said Bulls coach Billy Donovan after the game. “I don’t want to sit here and think … he kind of went down a little funny, and he’s got the same discomfort right now and he wants to see. He didn’t feel like he could come back.”

Chicago has been tested its depth recently with no security Alex Caruso (health and safety), Derrick Jones Jr. (bondo), Javonte Green (words) and Tyler Cook (island).

LaVine earns 25.6 points from 49% off (41% off 3), 4.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 37 Bulls’ games this season.

The Warriors took over after LaVine’s injury, closing the first half at a speed of 64-37. The Bulls lost 42 points on Friday with 26 points and the Nets on Wednesday. This is the first time a conference leader has lost nearly 30 consecutive games since the NBA went to two meetings in 1970, according to an ESPN Stats & Information survey.

“These two games are supposed to be an incentive for us to climb, to play hard, to play with each other,” the Bulls star. DeMar DeRozan he said. “It’s another problem we have to face. We can’t worry about it. We can’t worry about it. We can’t look for any help. It’s up to us.”
