Army restructure sees hundreds of British tanks and troops return to Germany

The UK will set up hundreds of tanks and war vehicles in Germany and transform many troops into gymnasiums around the world just a year after the Cold War era.

Mini U-turn – part of a larger modern system of the army unveiled by the secretary of defense Thursday – will see Germany become one of three new “ground forces” troops, along with Oman and Kenya.

The aim is for more troops to be sent to different parts of the world for longer periods – trained by the military for months instead of modern sports – to strengthen relations and alliances and to prevent threats from countries such as Russia and China.

A new discovery in Germany would also mean that the UK could respond more quickly to Russia – or any other attack on a European NATO member.

Ben Wallace, speaking in the House of Commons, also described what the military would look like as it declined to 73,000 by 2025 from a force of 82,000 – the lowest size since Napoleon’s time – to save money, even reduce 500 soldiers less than originally planned.

The program – dubbed the “Future Soldier” and described as the largest reform in more than 20 years – was designed to “transform soldiers into agile, mixed, lethal, warriors,” the secretary of defense said.

“Changes at this level – each sector will be affected in some way by this change,” the MP said.

It will also include £ 8.6bn in weapons support over the next 10 years. However, one of the most expensive military programs – the Ajax mini tank of £ 5.5bn – still has problems that could not be resolved.

“Our military must operate globally, prepared to deal with countless threats from cyber warfare to conflict,” Wallace said.

Fewer strikes mean earlier closures, including Alanbrooke Barracks in Topcliffe in North Yorkshire. “Closure of the site” 33 is underway though officials said most are small, such as a number of museums and cadet training centers.

There are winners and losers when the expected blockade is removed.

This includes the Glencorse Barracks in Edinburgh as well as the reservation of the Brecon Barracks in Wales – an idea that could be seen as an attempt to seduce volunteer countries.

The military itself is constantly evolving to simplify it as it shrinks in size.

No cup badges will be lost and no plans to remove more people. But the army will also be transformed into four divisions namely The Queen’s Division, Union Division, The Light Division and Guards and Parachute Division.

Several groups of brigades will either be discontinued or merged if requirements change to create more advanced combat skills.

This includes investing in long-term throwing throws as well as oversight.

As part of this transformation, 1 Armored Infantry Brigade will join the Artillery Brigade into a Deep Recce Strike Brigade.

There will also be an emphasis on professional skills.

This includes the formation of the Ranger Group, which is due to start on December 1, which is independent of the Green Beret group in the United States. The British Rangers will be able to work in smaller teams than regular soldiers and be self-reliant.

He will join local forces or forces in Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.

In a new plan for Germany, the military aimed the base of a brigade of tanks and armored vehicles – around 250 machines, with the help of vehicles and other construction equipment – in the Sennelager training area, where British troops had long been.

Hundreds of troops will be sent to the training camp to use the weapons NATO united for four months at a time.

They could have gone to Estonia, where the UK for the past five years led a powerful NATO-led force of 1,000 troops as part of a crackdown on Russian violence.

The UK’s future presence in Germany will be very different from the 20,000-strong the army a footprint that was once in the country – a legacy decades after the end of World War II. That eternal existence was abolished in 2020.

A military spokesman said: “NATO Forward Holding Base Sennelager is a military force that is building the Land Regional Hub in Europe.

“Deliberately developed by our NATO allies will enhance our ability to realize our commitment to NATO under the NATO Readiness Initiative by enhancing our capacity to store and store weapons and equipment on the continent.

“While the goal is to increase our training there, along with our NATO allies, there is no plan to re-establish UK troops in Germany.”
