Covid in Germany: Angela Merkel has said strong measures are needed to deal with Covid’s assassination.

Berlin:

Chancellor Angela Merkel on Thursday reiterated her call for a complete eradication of coronavirus in Germany, stressing that “every day is important” as the country’s Covid-19 death toll exceeds 100,000.

“We want more restrictions,” the outgoing German president added, “today he told” chancellery successor Olaf Scholz that “we can streamline the transition process together and look at all the necessary steps.”

Calling Thursday a “sad day” over the horrific death toll, Merkel said she wanted to negotiate with Scholz and her Greens and FDP allies because of the escalation.

“Things are still very difficult, because we are still in the developmental stage (disease) and because the cases that are sick today will make patients very sick in 10 or 14 days,” he said.

“We must be very careful that our hospitals do not become overburdened.”

Merkel interrupted talks on a partnership between Scholz and her colleagues on Tuesday, inviting them to a state of emergency.

According to German reports, they were urged to refrain from stopping because they found that recent laws requiring people to be vaccinated, cured or recently tested for public transportation or facilities are inadequate.

But his phone was reportedly rejected by the new deal.

Instead, Scholz announced the launch of a new challenge group for the event.

His aide Annalena Baerbock also said the upcoming agreement would take 10 days, until early December, to decide whether “defense measures are in place”.
